My background is in art and design. Originally, from New York City I’m now retired and living in Northeastern Maine. I have to admit that life here, in a rural state, is very different from the big city. I’ve been in Bangor, for six years and I’m enjoying the slower pace and the lack of intense crowds.

I’ve attended the Fashion Institute of Technology, in NYC, and majored in textile design during the mid-70s. After putting together a portfolio of my original designs, I found work at two of the major textile firms in the city. Springs Industries and Cannon Mills where I designed kitchen curtains, children’s pajamas, lingerie, towel, sheets and bedspreads.

Several designs shown below, were patterns I did while at school and were helpful in helping me find employment.  In addition, I’ve shown three hand drawn portraits of dogs, which are part of my pet portrait website.
